Just finished watching the complete series of "Queenie's Castle" starring the late and much missed Diana Dors.
"Crossroads" gets a mention in the third and final series of the show,Queenie is asking if they're going out to celebrate her wedding anniversary and her son's birthday, when she finds out they're not going out,she says:"What the heck are we doing then?
Sitting in here watching Crossroads?"
If Diana had lived think she would have made a great Mary Lancaster, can see striding into the motel with Tommy on her arm.

Diana Dors would have made a great character in Crossroads!  What a laugh if they'd made her Meg's long-lost sister! Could you picture Meg's face as she waltzes through the swing door of reception - "Oh MAAAAAARGARET Daaaarling!!!"

Apparently she was friends with John Bentley, he gave her advice on writing a book, but I don't think she lived long enough to complete it.. and his is still in-complete..

Mike, Do you think in time Patsy will finish John's book off ?  Or a close friend perhaps ?  It would be good if it was completed.

There was somebody well known, can't remember the name, who died, and the widow finished the book off.  A while ago.

I think it would make a very interesting read, and I'm not just saying that because I'm biased, but I am sure between them both, there are some very interesting stories to be told.

Its Maggie French who we know died, she who had every little fact on Crossroads - but Patsy said Liz Stern also had a lot of information, I wonder if Liz is around...

Yes, Maureen did, thanks for that DJB, but the name has just come to me whom I was thinking of.

Alan Clark the MP did volumes of his diaries which were very "gossipy" about his affairs etc, he died and his wife finished the final chapters.  It was very brave of her, she included his `final flings'.

Do you know of any other `Backroom staff' still around ?  If so, you could ask them I suppose about Liz.
