Yes, correct DJB.  A leaving present from the Crossroads Cast.  Well done, you got there.

Not without a few clues,though,Maria.

Hope my one isn't too obscure. But,I know at least a few of you were watching in the mid '70s(First Clue!)so I'll put it out there.Who was Margie Gibbons and what was her storyline?

I've never heard of her DJB.  Because of my region Granada being 1 year behind, anything before Meg's wedding almost probably I've not seen her episodes.  I'm surprised that nobody has got it though because I looked on the CAS site and she is on the cast list along with the name of the actress who played her.

Thanks for that DJB.  The only thing I can remember from Dec 1975 is Hugh's heart attack right at the end of the year.  My memory is obviously very selective unfortunately.

Yes,Maria,it's funny how some stories stick in the memory decades later while later ones ring no bells. The one involving Margie is one that I've always remembered.I was hoping that it would pop up on the DVDs,but of course there's a massive chunk of '75 missing.I think that she's in the cast list for Christmas week 1975,but sadly she doesn't appear in the two surviving episodes from then-although the other people from the storyline do feature!

So I'm right ? I've watched those Christmas episodes that many times DJB so probably could tell you most of the scenes and cast  Smiley  But unfortunately I don't know the storyline.  I know Bart was involved in business or potential business with Hugh.

I'll take a guess DJB, was Margie a lover of Bart's ?

That's pretty good going Maria on very few clues.

The storyline,as I remember it,had Diane returning to the Penthouse flat(where we saw her in the August 74 episodes)after a spell away-either at the farm or with Nicky in the U.S.She's shocked to discover another woman living in her home, albeit Bart's property where he'd "installed"Di during her fling with him.It turns out to be his new mistress Margie who was a glamorous but kooky blonde.Di is initally furious and Bart is rather befuddled at the situation.I think that the two women became friends after a while.IIRC another girl briefly moved in also(not exactly sure about that).Eventually wife Rachael turns up.She's quite tolerant of Bart's behaviour.I seem to remember her male secretary Trevor(Barry Evans) also living there briefly. It was all quite comic-a la Man About The House.I don't remember exactly how it ended-although I know that Diane returned to the farm, following her Aunt's death in early 1976.I don't think that we saw the penthouse again. This is how I remember the story.Wonder does it ring any bells for anyone.

Thanks for explaining that DJB, job well done.  Because I got it with a clue, it's my turn for a question.  I actually thought of this a couple of days ago and hoped I'd get a question correct so I could put this to you all.

Question
What was the name of Hugh Mortimer's first wife, Jonathon and Anthony's mother ?  Besides Mrs Mortimer of course  Smiley
