help with actors name please

anyone out there with good memory ? i am looking for the name of the actor who tried to murder benny (paul henry) i think its when benny won some money ? and this person tried to kil him for it? i just need the actors name please .. cheers bob of tel aviv and oldham

Do you know about what year this happened?  I can't recall this plot line during the time I was watching the original Crossroads (1974 to 1985).

If its to do with someone in Benny's family, it'll be most likely a surname of Reid/Reed not sure how they spell it as the father of Benny was Don Reid.

Its Tomas Donald Reed. But I can't find any other of that family, although there is a Mike Hawkins played by Jeffrey Holland from Hi-de-hi!

No I guess it must be someone else. There was 1982 when Benny was left money and a watch when his father died, but I don't recall anyone trying to kill him for that.

There was a plot where Benny first met his father Tom Reed,  when Tom Reed's nephew Alan Rogers (played by Colin Starkey) tried to get rid of Benny because he was in line to inherit Tom Reed's money and didn't want Benny to get it.  This might be what you're thinking of.

Unfortunately that era, 1976 is mainly gone. But an episode featuring Benny's rather horrid Gran and this father has been discovered from the Westward TV archive. Its one of the episodes from just before the 1976 omnibus from Volume 3.

the actor had a small part in crossroads ,and i am sure benny won some money ,and the actor tried to kill him for it if someone has the email address of paul henry's fan club they might be able to help too   and too add the actor was born in oldham
