Hi there, I used to love the 2001 version of Crossroads, which I'd forgotten about really until recently when I saw some clips on YouTube. I was wondering if anyone on here either has (or knows where I might find) copies of some of the episodes of this version...I would realy like to see the first few episdoes again, but as there seems to be no sign of a DVD release of this era - or of a repeat - I was wondering if anyone had any of the episodes recorded. I remember there was a full (I think) episode on YouTube for a while, which seems to have been taken off now... I have sent messages to several people about this both on YouTube and DigitalSpy, so I apologise if I've already spoken to some of you. However any help would be very much appreciated Thank you!! Chris

I think Doug knows where they've been recently repeated as he saw the copies laying around in ITV Leeds.

I'll never forget that night at Crossroads, when you said 'all good things must come to an end'. And then you smiled. And I knew that you meant it.

I think Doug knows where they've been recently repeated as he saw the copies laying around in ITV Leeds. Really? I wonder if that was on Sky or something, or whether it was in another country. Almost odd they would show them elsewhere when they're obviously only going to last a very limited length of time...I mean it was on for about 18 months wasn't it? And that was 2 or 3 times weekly, I think? So if they show them every week day, the series will be finished before a year has passed. I thought they only tended to do that with on-going series (e.g. Emmerdale started getting shown in Australia a couple of years ago, but it is still being filmed so it will be shown there continually)

New Zealand were most horrified when the final MK2 turned into MK3 in 2004! Lots of complaints - they thought Network One over there had skipped episodes!

As I've said, I loved Crossroads mk 2, but then it went off and I remember when I caught an episode of mk 3, and that was my viewing days over. It was like a different programme (I know you could probably say the same about Mk 2 after Mk 1, but there was a 13 year gap there, as opposed to a 6 month one!) Just wondering regarding the episodes, who runs the Crossroads 2001 site? Is it anyone on here? I get the impression they might have some episodes, so I may try emailing them...of course whether they'd be able to send me any would be a different matter...

Yeah John has been around here in the past, on our old forum which had a lot more members, but it broke... Not sure about earlier episodes, but I think he had a few later mk2 ones, again I don't know if he could copy any.

Pity about the old board breaking...don't know if it's still to get fixed or not, but I'm sure the old members will find and join this one at some point!

The episodes were sold to lots of countries and the ones I saw lying around in Leeds - and there were lots and lots of Mark Two episodes lying around - had been returned from the Arabic countries! The episodes weren't redubbed either, so they went out in English. I think another set of episodes - because there were a rather a lot lying around just for the Arab countries - had been returned from Eastern Europe, though I'm not sure.

Has anyone here ever tried contacting Carlton (Or whatever Carlton is known as now) about purchasing copies of episodes? I tried in the past for different shows (though coincidentally, Carlton owned those too) and they said they could, but the price was ridiculus...around £50 for ONE EPISODE!! And then I think when I tried the same thing a couple of years later, I was told that they were unable to sell copies at all for any price due to copyright issues. I imagine it'd be a similar story for Crossroads, but if anyone knows any different...?

Someone [was it Natalie?] did enquire about buying episodes from Carlton and it was a silly price....I think they quoted £75 per episode!

Just remembered Justin had Rob's DVDs - the first 160 or so episodes.. but they were in a black bag, and I think they were binned, by accident

BINNED! HE BINNED MARK TWO EPISODES? 100 OF THEM! And yet he has the ordasity to criticise ATV/Central for doing the same to the original episodes. Well he really is a regular little hypocrit. He couldn't manage to piss into a toliet let alone manage the fan club.

I think I have Jill's wedding and funeral episodes... but they're on VHS so I'd have to convert them to DVD somehow.. if anyone knows of a decent program!
