Well, I think we should put the flags out for them keeping "Eight" pictures.  Roll Eyes

They should really be ashamed of themselves for the amount of material that has been thrown, just downright vandalism, but Carlton couldn't care less, and that just sums up the sorry state of ITV.

Having said that out of all the episodes on the DVDs, I can count on one hand the times the sets 'wobble' and even then no worse than Corrie's.

I can see why Peter Ling and the set designer used to get pissed off at the comments, as they are no worse than the other shows, and as Ling himself said - the sets only really wobbled badly in the first 13-weeks when the show was not planned to continue and they were basic flats.
I remember Kathy Staff launching a strong defence of the quality of the sets to a startled Nina Myskow on tv many moons ago.Kathy was always one of the show's champions unlike some of the other stars who could be slightly more irreverent-Tony Adams for one.

I think Tony Adams is, what some would call a 'wise to the business' kinda person. He knows full well if you play up to it, and say what producers want, you're likely to be the one they speak to again and again.

Kathy thankfully was 'famous' enough with other roles to be on TV often and I think pretty much always spoke of it and defended it. One of the last big stars of it really.

I'll never forget that night at Crossroads, when you said 'all good things must come to an end'. And then you smiled. And I knew that you meant it.
