Well the Daily Express isn't known for its accurate stories, is it? It's two shades away from claiming Princess Diana was killed by aliens and Martians have Maddie McCann.

Sadly, it'd be a great miracle if they did. Most of Compact has been wiped.

Freeman's utterly beautiful and rather easy-on-the-eye co-Bargee.
(I cannot accept any responsibility for Daniel's actions, especially when he upsets people)

If they had any idea back then just how much they could have profited if they had kept them,

I have mixed feelings about this series. The modern breakneck pace of the storytelling means we don't get to know the characters the way we could. However,I do think it's probably a more sophisticated, intelligent drama than Downton Abbey. But,I think Downton's period, the location and the sentimentality of the love stories will be a greater draw for a mass Sunday night audience.

Yes I do think longer scenes would be nice rather than bang, bang, bang between short scenes.

I'm glad they put the proper theme music back on the end, there must have been complaints about the nothingness tune from the first re-make.

I'll never forget that night at Crossroads, when you said 'all good things must come to an end'. And then you smiled. And I knew that you meant it.

It's still a bit fairgroundy for my liking but I guess they can't use the original arrangement.

I'm a huge fan of the new Upstairs Downstairs, mind you I am a sucker for anything like this. I particularly admire Nico Mirallegro's talents and hope to see him used more extensively. Sadly Tish is quite upset by the new series, she was a close friend of the Bellamys and considers that Sir Hallam and his frightful wife are too low class to be the new proprietors of 165 Eton Place. It's yet one more modern innovation that Tish believes has been sent to try her...

I haven't seen the New Up/Down but saw the lovely Ann Reid being interviewed on This Morning.
Anne was lovely, she was giving details of the next episode and transmission,Mr Schofield butts in,saying the "Dancing On Ice" skate off
(ie Phillip shouting),was on at the same time.
Its to Anne's credit she just looked bemused at this,I'd have went "How Rude".

Not as shocking as some might think. 40 years ago Alfred, the footman, had a liason with a male houseguest in the very first series.
