TV Times issue dated 17th - 23rd January 1987 has this for the episode synopsis for Monday 19th:

"There's wine, women and song down at "Cavalier Spinney".

Can anyone shed any light on what or where "Cavalier Spinney" is? It's one of the more obscure Crossroads references that I've come across that I've drawn a complete blank on so far.

Any info. anybody can provide would be very helpful.

It was the house that Kath and Stephen Fellowes bought and barely moved into before leaving Kings Oak altogether. I recall it was a modern house on a newly-built estate.

Prior to that they had spent several months living in a chalet after being gazumped whilst trying to move into a more traditional house.

They originally decided to move because Kath didn't like living in the house that Stephen had previously lived in with his first wife. She had moved in with him after they got married.

Thx Valerie. That answers that one. What an odd name for a house  Undecided I suspected it was kath & Stephen's new home. I've seen some footage of the storyline from '86 where Kath & Stephen get gazumped. It's good stuff. Poor Kath, she does make a mess of things!  Roll Eyes
