Why, what have you got against the name Adrian ?

The only Adrian I can think of besides Chiles is Mole.

There are a few indications. An agency said some of their actors had been used for the opening titles so you can guess it'll have people in them.

The colour is purple for Daybreak and pink for Lorraine.

The rest is anyones guess other than the backdrop is a live view of london. Probs a purple sofa. Probs axed within 3 years.

Presumably the titles feature people waking up at 6am, realising that Daybreak is on and deciding stop in bed a bit longer?  With an extra flourish of the duvet to cover their bed-heads.

Freeman's utterly beautiful and rather easy-on-the-eye co-Bargee.

(I cannot accept any responsibility for Daniel's actions, especially when he upsets people)

Next week its the last one.

I'm sure someone will be sad to see it go. How long for Daybreak. It isn't going to beat BBC is it. (Well not unless when it moves to Manchester it seriously goes downhill)

No, Daybreak won't beat the BBC because the Breakast Team are very good, but breakfast TV is looking bleak if Bill, Sian and others quit because they won't move North.

Looks like a purple One Show on ITV really, with an orange female host that makes the worst regional news presenter seem appealing.

Channel 3 North East launched on Monday 6th September 1996. It didn't last long...

I seem to remember that - hated the re-named channel. I was chuffed when it was reverted to Tyne Tees (albeit briefly). Yorkshire TV did a similar thing with the logo being a big spinning 3 then it revolved into the Y logo.

Still, I suppose it was better than the boring generic ITV that it is now!

Well the end of 17 years was a bit crap. Penny Smith got a better send off than the show itself. Rushed, no proper goodbye, wobbly camera, lights faded too fast and too late. Best bit was the old theme restored.

How long do we give Daybreak.. six months? The One Show ratings have gone up since grim and fake tan sodded off, so I suspect ITV have spent a lot of money on a big purple elephant.

His voice is grating and wants to send you to sleep so I guess he'll jump first. She'll cling on for dear life as she probs knows she's been over paid for little in the way of £s to talent ratio.

Should add ITN's report was vastly better than anything GMTV did today. Even a few old clips.

I had GMTV on this morning but switched off at 9.00 a.m. because I went out, but looks like I didn't miss anything then.  I did see the ITN report, looks like I saw the best bits then.

I'd give Daybreak less than 6 months and say Daybreak will have had the death knell sounded by Christmas.  Agreed, not looking good.
