GMTV is 'celebrating' 25 years, with lots of TV-am photos and clips. Anyone would think they'd recently had troubles and were trying to 'cash-in' on the more fondly remembered brand of TV-am...

It won't work GMTV, no no no.

For me these early morning magazine programmes were a waste of electricity. The BBC were right in doing away with their version some years ago.

The BBC one has sort-of leaned back to its original format lately.

And has in the process started to beat GMTV, which is rather good, but then again its not hard to offer a better quality than GMTV.

Well you can see there is going to be less from the ITV site.

http://www.gm.tv has loads of presenters up top, the new http://www.itv.com/gmtv has only a few. Looks like Lorrraaaanneee might be going into her own show as part of ITV1 rather than GMTV.

I can't understand a word she says so makes neee difference to me.

Yes, first thing I spotted that Lorraine has disappeared from the top.

I always switch off GMTV when Lorraine comes on because my Mum can't understand a word she says either, and hasn't done for years !!  But I think she had always done a good enough job when standing in for Paul O'Grady on his Channel 4 show.

It is strange because Lorraine was alright on TV AM, both as a presenter and as a news reporter when she first started.

Maybe as she's got older she's got faster.. although Tony Blackburn is the same. I do like him and to listen to him but sometimes he speaks sooo fast.

I see what you mean.  I like Tony Blackburn too, but was he any slower when he was younger ?  I can't remember.

Are they having yet another revamp? its less than 2 years since the last version! I never was keen on Lorraine as she spoke to guests as if they were children in playschool.

I was sorry to hear that Penny Smith had gone the other week.  She was a friendly face first thing in the morning.

They haven't said whether or not the Sat/Sun versions of This Morning will be live or recorded. I bet they'll be recorded as I can't see everyone involved with the programme working ALL THE TIME - day after day!
