I think dear old Tish was seeking advice for anyone who would give her a bit...and some advice.

Mind you I think I'd soon turn to the bottle if I was married to Boring Ted and had that drippy plummy speaking girl, for a daughter (Lynn) Why she kept on doing alful impersonations of "Larry The Lamb" late into the King's Oak Night in her Bedroom, whenever Ted was out gallivanting, and Tish was on the Amber Nectar. As for her son, well the least said about him the better,I was always under the impression he was one of Dorothy's friends, and I don't mean Lamour's! Lips sealed  No I think our Tish should have stuck to being a good time girl on the stages of Castlewich and Merryfields, she might have ended up marrying Bernard Booth,as I think they were suited to one another, but obviously he had a penchant for the younger ones.

Yes Hammy - I agree about Peter Hope. I too think he batted for the other side. He didn't take much interest in women did he? I mean he married Audrey Roberts - and never even noticed next day that she was suddenly a dark-haired posh woman! Grin

It was all wrong wasn't it Freetoview,Marilyn mark 1,would just not have been right for Peter,where-as mark 2 was,but tbh I can't say that the actress herself was much cop,too much of the old school style of acting, but that's my opinion, anyone else agree?
I also thought Mr Booth and Helen were wrong together,it was a bit like Stan in "On The Buses" with one of them clippies,a little bit pervy,if you like, but at least Helen had style.
Like I have mentioned on here before,I can also remember Sue Nicholls final episode and Nadine's first, and it took a lot of getting used to that,I can tell you.

I never liked it when they had cast-changes in soaps. Marilyn was the worst one. Chris Hunter was similarly OTT - but for the better, I must say!
If our dear Tish had been re-cast - I've always said "Mrs Warbuoys" from 'One Foot in the Grave' would have fitted in  Grin

Well what can one say about Tish? I was there for her when she was jilted at the alter by Captain Scarlet for Parker and how did she repay me, by calling me a lair. So wherever Tish is I do hope its somewhere frightfully common and sinfully awful...like Salford.

The thing about Tish is that she is terribly old and rather tired. I gather she was rather distressed as well by the portrayal of her close chum Margaret Thatcher in a film starring Meryl Streep and now La Streep apparently wants to play the role of Tish in a no-holds barred biopic. As you can imagine it's all been rather a strain and Tish now spends a lot of time at home in her cottage addressing Ted as if he is still there.

I doubt she will ever return to the forum but you never know, if you wish hard enough...

Such a shame, I could have taken her over the morning table and rumped her like some common slapper.

You wouldn't be the first to use that technique Hugh.

Sounds fun, tell me where the slappers are and I'll give them round two.

Yes, he's a happily married man, perfectly harmless.  Its just that his reputation is legendary.  Smiley
