Have just had an email from Network regards their 40% off sale, I see that all of the Webb Exclusive titles have been removed and also Crossroads has vanished from the categories altogether! They have the Soap Box set for £16.54 the 40% offer ends on the 2nd February with a standard postal charge added. Worth a look if you are missing any Network DVD's other then Crossroads!

It said somewhere, or maybe I mis-read, about a new improved site coming soon.

If its like play.com where you dont have to put your payment details in every perchase that would be wonderful.

I've still got a sore wrist off all that inputting from previous sales.

I'll never forget that night at Crossroads, when you said 'all good things must come to an end'. And then you smiled. And I knew that you meant it.

Grrrrr If I'd have known you wanted those,I could have posted on the ones I have on VHS Shughie,as I have the complete set including all the films.
BTW I often go to bingo when my sister's in town, and we go to the Mecca Branch up at Wood Green,it's on exactly the same spot that the bus depot used in the series was in. I think you see the road in some of the early b/w episodes. The external shots of the house was filmed right next to Battersea Power Station.
The actress Anna Karen eventually ended up marrying the actor who played Nobby.
And Doris Hare had absolutely no time for Mike Robbins, they did not converse off set, unless for publicity reasons, and Doris arrived each morning at LWT promptly, after catching two buses to get her there.
Bob Grant (Jack) and Stephen Lewis (Blakey) both wrote a fair number of episodes together, but Bob suffered fron depression and couldn't continue. However their was a spin off titled "Don't Drink The Water" which starred Stephen Lewis and the lovely Patty Coombes, which I also think is available on DVD by Network.
