I've just read he is David Jason's older brother (by 7 years!)

I remember Arthur appearing in a TV series back in the mid 70's,which also starred Geoffrey Hinsliff and John Line (Xrds Dr Ryan/Stephen Fellowes,and I think the show was called either "Lucky Strike" or "Striker" not sure which,it's way too far back.
