Very interesting.  I did already know that Jack Tinker was involved in a dispute for implying certain things,  but didn't know the exact details.  Now I do.  Thank You Heathbury.

Funnily enough of course she was seen as a bit of a power, and Clive James said when he was asked to do New Faces she was offered as like meeting royalty. So who knows what the truth was, Nolly, Val and Lew only have the real answers.

Its over 30 years for poor Jo. I wonder if any documents were kept that could be released under freedom of information.

As Jane Rossington instantly saying it was a murder and a cover up does rather suggest ATV knew what was going on but for whatever reason was told to say its an accident.

In her News Of The World interviews, she mentioned her shares but that she didn't have any real power, and cites her sacking as proof of that.

Yes, only Nolly, Val and Lew know the real answers, and they're not here unfortunately.

She obviously had a lot of say on Crossroads, but that may not have extended outside of that production.

Although in the early days she of course was an executive, I assume she gave up that role when Crossroads started. Then of course ATV went 'bigger' with the move to ATV Centre and what had been a small theatre with a small crew became a monster.

I'm sure she did give up her role as an Executive.  I know she had an office and such but much preferred being in front of the camera.  But its too much to do both, no matter how good/talented a person is.

Ned Sherrin mentions her being an Executive in the early days and she also touches upon it in her own 1975 book.
