Birmingham Mail ran a poll earlier this month and Noele topped the list

http://www.silobreaker.com/birmingham-mail-top-ten-tv-stars-5_2265047643530985540

If you then click on `read the article at source' a slideshow appears.  Play the slideshow and Noele's photo and also a photo of Paul Henry appears, amongst other people such as Tony Hancock and Chris Tarrant.

HAhahahaa and Media Archive for Central England of course respected her Midland legacy by naming a room after her... NOT.

They named it after the joke-story reporter from ATV Today. Dipagestickages LOL.

They're so dense there, they need a little education in the history of Midlands ITV I think, or new management who know who Alan Coleman is for example.

Well done Birmingham Mail for knowing who at least Nolly is and for showing those MACE clowns up who have been tragically gifted with 'caring' for an archive they know bugger all about.

I'll never forget that night at Crossroads, when you said 'all good things must come to an end'. And then you smiled. And I knew that you meant it.

For more information on the MACE and their lapse of any sense stay tuned for the 'Making of Return To Crossroads' documentary which goes right back to 2005 when ITV Central gave access to ATV Centre and MACE promised their support only to go backtracking when greedy ideas got in the way.  Grin

Its great, though not for them or ATV Land .

I have to say, as a Midlands lad, that John Swallow is/was a legendary figure. It does remain a mystery that Noele hasn't been given the recognition she deserves.

TBH surely Lord Lew should have been the first to get a shelf named after him, or the broom cupboard.

Really ITV should be looking after their own film. Anything to get out of spending money, but quick enough to try and make a few quid. Same with this buying CTV, only so they can get the smallest fines via CTV if they cock up legally. Its about time Ofcom sorted that little rip orf out as well.

You did put that link up on Noele's page on FB.  That's what gave me the idea of posting it here, because my original link posted last night may be complicated to read.

The B/ham Mail website was playing me up last night, so I coped the best link I could at the time.

Noele's photo I'd say was from the 1980's, possibly at a Press Party for one of her shows, Gypsy or Call Me Madam ?  She's all dressed up.
