There is going to be one on air next year.

I'd love to say more but I'll post in the week before it airs about it.

I'm pretty sure it'll contain Crossroads as I've given a load of info to them and the producer seemed very pleased. Which is nice. I believe its a tribute to the actress so shouldn't be too 'wobbly' hopefully.

I'll never forget that night at Crossroads, when you said 'all good things must come to an end'. And then you smiled. And I knew that you meant it.

Glad to be able to finally say, now the BBC have put the details up.

Welsh Greats, BBC One Wales.

Profile of the outrageously funny star of Gavin and Stacey, whose own life story featured more romance and tragedy than
most television dramas. Narrated by Sian Phillips.

Monday 16th January at 23:05pm.

It was rare, and nice that the producer contacted CAS to thank us for the info, then his assistant emailed to give us that date just before Christmas. So I hope its a good show, it seems all very positive so far.

It looks like she's had a very full and varied life with her fair share of upsets thrown in too.  It does sound very interesting so far and especially positive because of the Production Team making contact twice.  I doubt they would have done that if it wasn't a good programme.

I gave them a few episode numbers, including the one which opens with Margaret in the doctors surgery with the 'Crossroads' text under her. They asked about stories so I passed on info here that someone said about her having a 'sorta romance' with the Welsh post office guy Ceryl and mentioned an episode number where they're both talking. I did also say she was releated to Kevin Banks and the Brownlow clan. So we shall see.

I didn't see much of 'Gavin & Stacey'......Was she the randy old woman next door? I never recognised her!! She used to make me laugh so much! What would Dr Butterworth say...? Hah - after all that lecturing she gave him over Mrs Baines!! Grin

I couldn't believe it, the first time I saw her as Doris.  Not at all like Marian Owen at all, the exact opposite  Smiley

I bet she didn't believe it either when she first saw the script!   Cheesy

Hopefully this will be on iPlayer as I'd like to see this.

Have just watched the programme on iplayer and a good mention of Crossroads with clips and still picture. Indeed a lovely and very interesting lady with a tragic personal life. Other clips in the programme are from 1963 in 'The Stag', 1966 'The Trouble Shooters, 1968 'Softly Softly' and 1975 'The Mike Yarwood Show' also Dixon of Dock Green and of course the more recent stuff like Gavin and Stacey. Well worth going onto the iplayer to watch.

I've just watched it.  It was very good, held my attention for all of the half hour.  A lovely tribute to a lovely lady.  Everybody liked "Maggie".

As Fairlawns has said, there is a good mention of Crossroads.  A nice quote from her nephew "She was very fond of Noele Gordon and Kathy Staff".

This programme is well worth watching, definitely.
