OOH and I dont count you ATV people who have met Crossroads actors!
I've met, in the past, Tom Baker (Dr Who), The Nolan Sisters (I had Bernie behind my bar!!), Su Pollard (she's as batty in real life as she is on TV!), Robert Morley (the miserable-looking actor), bless him - he was quite funny actually!, BUCKS FIZZ...they were nice, and Ewan McGregor ...before he became really famous! He was filming something called 'Happy Voice' with Michael Cain and wotzername off the Tesco ads in Scarborough! Working in big hotels broadened my horizons! I work in a supermarket now!! (How Ironic!!)

Living in Hampstead,we do get to see a few stars (if that's what they are) in the last couple of months.I've seen Martin Bell (the journalist) in the white suit, Esther Rantzen (and her teeth) Johnathan Ross, Boy George, and one of our neighbours Paul Greenhaulgh aka Paul Nicholls from Eastenders. Daniel I too have seen Su Pollard when she was living with that gay bloke that ripped off the box office takings, back in the 80's,and yes she really is Batty as you say,but she's a lovely lassie, and can even drinkl moi under the table.

I've met Su Pollard too! She was the first famous person I'd ever met and I was only 10 or so. It was an opening of an opticians in Bham City Centre and she came across as a really nice person and mad as a box of frogs! I've also met Don "Crackerjack" McLean twice, Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich, Barry Ryan, Brigit Forsyth, Lesley Joseph (I'll ignore her in future), Kelly Sotherton, Graham Taylor, Melinda Messenger, Paul Deakin and Nick Kane from The Mavericks and Jay Leno. Daniel - do you mean Little Voice with Jane Horrocks? That was a good film!

Living as I do in the backwater of the British Isles (aka Jersey), I haven't had the chance to meet many famous people in the flesh. Of course I met dear Roger Tonge yonks ago when he came over for the Variety Club do. On my various trips to London I have spotted a few famous faces, though I haven't actually met them as such, just spotted them from afar. A few years ago I saw Wendy Richard (Eastenders' Pauline Fowler) in Sainsbury's, Richard Wilson (Victor Meldrew) in Fortnum & Mason's, and during my last visit in October this year I saw BBC World Affairs correspondent John Simpson in a toy shop in Greenwich Market. I had a little chat with the two shop assistants after he'd left and one of them was convinced she'd just served David Attenborough until I explained it was John Simpson!

Yes Aston - 'Little Voice' was the film. Ooh Glenda, I didn't mean I 'had' Bernie Nolan behind the bar She wanted to pull pints for us all that's all! I tell you what - those Nolan's aren't angelic as they appeared to be in those days!! And boy, could they knock 'em back.

They were good Irish girls - breakfast would have been at least two pints of Guinness!

As I posted,I met Sharon Gless of "Cagney and Lacey" after seeing her play "A Round Heeled Woman",last month and got the chance
to chat a private party, lovely down to earth lady, who make time for everyone and nothing was too much trouble.
Saw a few Corrie folk when I did extra work on the street,Sue Nichols was lovely,Johnny Briggs,Wiilliam Roache,Helen Worth,in fact
only two not very nice,Kevin Kennedy(Curly) and Sean Wilson (Martin).
Bonnie Langford is lovely and friendly,as is Paul Darrow(Avon from Blakes7)mentioned before Steven Pinder(Max from Brookside and Crossroads Roy Lambert) was another sound guy as is Tony Adams, our own Adam Chance.

Ooops yes -forgot Tony Adams, what a gent! He was doing a 'Celebrity Appearance' at the hotel I worked in for some charity event. He was appearing at the local theatre at the same time doing a musical.
I've remembered another one - Nigel Havers in London.....gosh he's a short-arse! He was the same height as me!!

No-one yet No-one is safe behind Freecan's bar Glenda, now do you understand why Amy always fluffs her lines, and the walls always wobble, when ever they have a scene together.

Someone who did the "It shouldn't happen on a TV Soap" (which mk3 featured) said Leslie Joseph was rude and trying it on with any young man passing.

Probably making up for having to sleep with Robin the man (then in his 70's)who befriended her when she started out in the business,She shacked up with him for quite some time, then when she got BOAF she blew him out,.............although he too wasn't much better. During the argument that I had with her, I told her that she didn't need a script to play Dorien, that in fact I was under the impression that it had been written especially for her.

Yes, I found her quite rude. I met her whilst she was in Bham doing a show at the Hippodrome. She looked at me like I was something she'd trodden in. I'd love to have seen that argument, Hammy!
