Watching Crossroads early 85,Paul Ross and Anna Ross storyline coming to an end,was a nice surprise to see Gaby Keble, played by

Cherryl Croft back for a comedy interview with John Latchford, think she turned up for an interview for the garage secretary in the

late 70s,as well as being around in 72.

She looked  a lot better in 84 than 72 ,I have to say.

Funny when Gaby calls Jill "Mrs Harvey" and Miranda says rather bitchily "Oh you are going back a bit!".

I'd forgotten how bad an actor, the man playing  Pete Maguire is,there's gaff in one of his early epiosdes,he does a scene in the bar, then the action goes to reception.he appears at the bar entrance then dives out of shot, love it.

He was quite a 'star' of Tyne Tees after Crossroads. I have an advert from the late 1990s/early 2000s where he's flogging carpets in an advert.

He also had his own late night series on ITV by Tyne Tees, just for TTTV I think. I Think it was just called McNally. (Mike McNally being the guy)

I'll never forget that night at Crossroads, when you said 'all good things must come to an end'. And then you smiled. And I knew that you meant it.

He stilll seems to be acting anyway had a small role in "The Day After Tomorrow" as a reporter.

Its not fair,to compare a 85 episode of Crossorads to modern Eastenders I guess, but as Pete is meant to have been sleeping rough and

then the descend into hard drugs with him clean and nice blown dried hair is a bit of a contradiction, sorry he doesn't do it for me.

I really like Angela Webb's performance, like it when she's the "nice" Iris, shame she diappears for a good, shortly after Philip Bowman

takes over as producer.

I never noticed if Mike McNally was a bad actor or not......I just found him quite cute!

I loved Gaby Keble! What a good comedy character she was. Shame she wasn't in it for longer in her first stint, but then again maybe the constant jabbering would've gotten a bit too much after a while!

In fairness,he's better at the shouting etc but at the start quite ropey.

Harry Maguire has his hair tinted with white to make the Actor appear older when make up remember.

Its pretty obvious Glenda and Kevin are for the chop as they disappear to Canda for a month, always liked Kevin and Glenda, shame

they went.

I seem to remember she was interviewed for the secretary's job the same time as Sharon in 1977. I found her funny and was disappointed she didn't get the job.
