Just spotted that Simon May is listed as one of the artists appearing on Top Of the Pops on BBC4 at 12.15am tonight. The show in question is from 14 October 1976 and should be on iPlayer until next Thusday evening,I reckon.

Aww that's one of my favourite songs from Crossroads - I liked the fact that the show used the instrumental music for weeks on end - and finally did the SONG at the finale of the story of Eileen, Hilary and Bob. It was a lovely 'love triangle'.

The actor playing Bob has a look of Patrick Troughton,I think.

I'll never forget that night at Crossroads, when you said 'all good things must come to an end'. And then you smiled. And I knew that you meant it.

I always remember seeing him (Simon May) in the backing vocals for Stephanie De Sykes when she sang Born With a Smile - 'Rain' I think they were called. He looked so Camp!  Brilliant songwriter though!  Smiley

Yes, Stephanie's backing group was called Rain.  They are on the `Wheeltappers & Shunters Social Club' Dvd No. 2.
