As Maria has pointed out - there seems to be less talk on this thread more than any! And this is what the thread/Forum is all about!!
I must confess to being a contributor to all this.... I tend to spend more time on that bloody Barge! But if I ever see a topic spring -up on this one - I will join in, if it interests me!
So I reckon we should all get together and STOP just looking at 'Todays' post (like I have done) and think about joining into a debate/arguement - or simply create a new topic!
Crossroads has lasted 47 years for us.....it can live longer!

Its looking that way.  The same recent topics posted here in this section and Documentary have got more comments with alot less members.

Unless people have become complacent about everything always being here, whether they post or not ?  Easily done, probably unintentional, as Daniel has said.

LOL well its a cost that we can use elsewhere TBH, paying for this every year isn't a given gift and as stated there has been a lot more action on Facebook. So I think maybe its a sign of the times, social media is replacing stuff like this.

Seem's to be that now there are no Crossroads DVD's being released so many topics seem to have dried up.

I'm on facebook - but TBH, I only use it to contact certain friends. I certainly don't use it as a 'forum' like this one is.

Bloody Facebook!!  Angry

I had noticed that there wasn't as much chat here in recent times. I put it down to some being busy with the documentary plus the departure of a few major contributors. Have to admit I've been really busy of late,so haven't been posting that much. I intend to make more of an effort from now on. I'm not on FaceBook and would hate to lose this forum.
It would also be nice to hear from the many guests and non-posting members who seem to regularly browse the forum. Nobody should feel compelled to do so,of course, but it would be interesting to hear the memories and observations of others who visit. So,if you're reading, don't be shy!

Not being on Facebook, I'd hate to see the forum close.  I contribute as and when I can to discussions in the Crossroads area, but there's so much about the show that I've forgotten as I was only a young thing when it was on (I hadn't even turned 10 when it finished).  I pretty much use it as an educational tool to fill in what I've forgotten.

However, if it progresses to Facebook, then so be it.  I guess that's the way of the world and social media.

If it goes to Facebook - I wont be joining in!
So it'll be a case of goodbye from me and goodbye from him ^  methinks!

I want THIS forum - it's much more private and cosy.

Obviously we cannot all be on ALL of the time for various reasons.

I agree with DJB's earlier post regarding guests and non-posting members. Why not give it a go? We don't bite! They might find it fun after a while.....that's how I started! I used to read the posts....and thought I'd like to reply to 'this' (whatever it was) - signed in and hey presto here I am! You're stuck with me!  Grin
