SURPRISE PHONE CALL FROM PAT BENTLEY THIS AFTERNOON

HELLO ALL,

    THIS AFTERNOON I RECEIVED A PHONE FROM JOHN BENTLEY,S WIDOW PAT, SHE TOLD ME THAT ATV WERE GOING TO INTERVIEW HER NEXT TUESDAY FOR A DVD RELEASE.  IT,S TO DO WITH CROSSROADS CARE OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. IT WAS SUCH A SHOCK.  I TOLD HER I HAD DROPPED BY IN EARLY SUMMER OF LAST YEAR BUT SHE WASN,T IN SHE SAID TO DROP BY.  TOLD HER I WOULD THE NEXT TIME I WAS DOWN THERE.    PAT TOLD ME SHE,D LET ME KNOW MORE NEXT WEEK ON THIS DVD.   SO STAY TUNED   .........................................................................BEST WISHES TO ALL CROSSROADS FANS.................................................................................KAREN ELLIS

Yes Patsy is lovely I've spoken to her many times, when John was around and when he died. Such a lovely woman.

I second that, having spoken to her many times after John died and leading up to this interview.  But now having met her, she is one hell of an amazing lady whom I admire even more.

She certainly is.  A great friend to both John and Patsy.

Patsy told me last night about an amusing phone call she received a couple of days ago.

She was answering some questions on market research, and a question came up which asked her husband's profession, she of course said actor.  The interviewer then asked if he was in any tv programmes, she said that she doesn't suppose he watched Crossroads ?  The interviewer said he did, so Patsy said he played Hugh Mortimer.

The interviewer then said quite friendly "Oh hello Mrs Mortimer". 

He must have assumed that she was Meg    It just proves how people take it for real.
