Have already done so A very good idea. CAS have already officially have been in dialogue with Network about future releases of course and the answer was not good. But lets see what happens with this one, fan power !

Well the source of the problem burned down, but network never accepted all you lovely people were cheeked and called you all liars, so I can't see them accepting any issues.

Have added a message on the front page of network's facebook page and wonder how long it will be before its took down. Maybe we could talk to acorn media about negotiating for rights. If they saw the level of fan support maybe they may do something.

I recorded the BBC Radio Coventry and Warwickshire 'Crossroads Afternoon' from the other week which shows how the public still have an affection for the show, its just Network DVD who didn't like the fact in basic terms:
When I kicked up a fuss over a problem with the switchboard which came to light when some tapes (a lost episode by ITV indeed, which is on You Tube to prove it is around) was offered to the Sony phone line by a former ITV member of staff and they said bugger off.
Then there was the pay by cheque issue where a 'camp man' on the phone line told an old lady if she was too old to get online to buy then it was just tough luck, just one of many. Charming.
Instead of addressing that they made up some bullshit about it being a current ITV member of staff and made some complaint about him I believe. That is gratitude for the six episodes released he found that would not have been released if he hadn't have bothered to listen to CAS. But skapegoats are cheap I guess to Network rather than deal with the REAL issue.

I've just gone in that FB thread and tried to calm things down. I really don't think that personal abuse aimed at Mr Beddows is the way forward. Network are within their rights to remove posts of that nature.
I've exchanged correspondence with Mr Beddows/Network in the past on this matter and quite frankly I don't wish to be associated with abusive posts, no matter what our legitimate grievances are.
I've taken crap from the SonyDac phone line but one must keep a level head at all times I reckon.

Can't decide whether or not to report his posts as im a believer in freedom of speech but network may delete the entire thread which means we've acheived nothing.

I was concerned because of ATV (ATV manages CAS) and CAS being associated with posts of that nature. My correspondence to Mr Beddows was on behalf of CAS. Hopefully Network will realise because of what I've said and Mike too earlier on in the thread that he is a lone poster, not associated with CAS. He isn't a member of the CAS FB page and his name isn't known to the Fan CLub.
Yes, it was his way of expressing himself but embarrassing to read because in my opinion once you start mouthing off like that you've lost the argument.
Network may well delete the thread and who can blame them.

I did of course have a go at Steve Rogers (as Mr Wolf) on his forum over the issue as the whole 'network are wonderful' really was getting on my tits.
But that was a 'fan forum' that just happened to be managed and run by someone at Network dvd. Whether that was to plug their products or not thats up to people to decide.
I'd never dream of being rude on a Network page/site and certainly not down the phone to them or that would be as bad as Sony were to the fans. No that guy really hasn't helped the cause at all. Although I understand his annoyance.
I'm afraid Tim Beddows will forever think the complaint was about us defending some ITV bloke and not the real issues and you just can't change the mind of those who are pig headed and won't face the actual facts rather than the conclusions they jumped too.
So I don't think there is any chance of Network doing more, there are other companies interested but ITV Studios vision wise are a pretty hidious company to deal with, as they're just greedy beyond anything Carlton ever was.

Have reported the messages to facebook so hopefully they will delete the posts instead of network deleting the thread.

I voted for Meg's Venice return, but I think I'd quite like all of those episodes on shiny disc! Fingers - and everything else - crossed that Volume 5 becomes reality.

(I cannot accept any responsibility for Daniel's actions, especially when he upsets people)

I'm the 1% that voted for the last episode. I just want to see that scene again where the 'new' smug-faced manager Daniel steps in to take over. Adam's face was a picture!

I voted for Meg's Venice return but Arthur's death was a classic too.
He was such a miserable character but he got a good send off.
