Does anyone remember 'Marked Personal' starring a little known Stephanie Beecham - later of Dynasty and Cluedo fame? That had a good theme song:
"My head feels something my heart isn't buying, But I'm doing it in my own way..." (cue harmonica) etc etc. Set in the personnel dept. of a major company...

Oops,
I have no idea how that happened, sorry! I just clicked on the quote button and pasted but must have done it wrong...sorry! I'm not able to modify that post either for some reason, can a moderator help?
Don't worry, Lucky! I just thought a technical glitch had ironed me out of existence!

Yes, the BYA, wasn't it? Heather Chasen played a goodie in that, and later there was an American woman... some sort of "buy out" I think...

Thanks for the info DJB - you know how blinkered I am regarding General Hospital!!! If there is to be one complete episode I would be in my element! September is such a long way off... I think that I may run you a close second,Glenda.

I remember the likes of 'Together' and 'Marked Personal'. I also remember something called 'Harriet's Back in Town' around the start of Emmerdale Farm in '72. I think it only lasted one series.
As far as this box-set goes, I'll be happy as long as it has such classics as General Hospital, Crossroads (one NOT out on DVD), Emmerdale Farm, Coronation Street, EW10, maybe some from the USA as well? Their day-time soaps were/are still the funniest!

As it's Network it'll be ITV soaps. Yes,I remember Harriet,Daniel. It started the same time as Emmerdale Farm,General Hospital and Crown Court when daytime ITV launched in Ocrober 1972. It ran for a year and was replaced by Marked Personal. I think it all survives,so it might pop up on the set.

Honey Lane and Calling Oxbridge might be nice but I guess maybe too obscure. Although if there is enough Honey Lane/Market In... it could be billed as 'the original EastEnders only with humour'.

I'll never forget that night at Crossroads, when you said 'all good things must come to an end'. And then you smiled. And I knew that you meant it.

If the boxset included General Hospital, Honey Lane, Cedar Tree, Calling Oxbridge, Emergency Ward 10 and possibly something like Revelations or Night and Day I'd buy it in a flash!

I'm quite excited about this release. I'd buy it just for General Hospital and EW10 if they were both included.

The Cedar Tree too is interesting. We shall have to wait and see whether it is a Philip Latham or Jack Watling episode.

I'm sure it'll be Philip Latham. With the previously unreleased stuff,I suspect that they might opt to show the first episode(s).

Anyone remember "Rooms"?
Yes I remember that one. Another early 70's afternoon soap. I found it a bit tame and boring to be honest. Its successor 'Together' was much more interesting, also set in a block of flats. (Were the two soaps made by the same company? I know 'Together' was Southern TV.....can't remember what 'Rooms' was produced by.
