My favourite is "The Girl That I Marry" by John Bentley taken from the Wedding Album.

I also like "After All These Years" by Noele Gordon, "Goodbye" by Shona Lindsay and "Born with a Smile" by Stephanie De Sykes.

I do like others as well but those are my favourites.

I heard the Sue Nicholl's song 'Where Will You Be' on you tube.....thought that was quite catchy. Sounds nothing like Marilyn does it?
I used to have Stephanie De Sykes two Crossroads hits and Kate Robbin's 'More Than in Love' , along with Simon May's 'Summer of my Life' on good old vinyl!
Pity they never released Carl Wayne's rendition of the theme music - that would've been a collectors item!

"Summer of My Life" is my favourite. I also like the Kate Robbins track and both of the Stephanie De Syke numbers.

I like them all - including We Need A Little Christmas. Are there enough for an album?

That would be a fun album wouldn't it? There's certainly enough songs to fill a CD album (TV clips included):
'Where Will You Be' - Sue Nicholls
'Born With a Smile on my Face' -Stephanie De Sykes
'There's a Small Hotel' - Noele Gordon
'Summer of my Life' - Simon May
'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas' - Noele Gordon (TV episode)
Medley of cast (Diane, Jane Smith,Archie Gibbs , Shughie & Mr Booth) [from above Xmas episode]
'Benny's Theme'  Roll Eyes - Paul Henry/Simon May
'We'll Find Our Day' - Stephanie De Sykes
'More Than in Love' - Kate Robbins

'We need a Little Christmas' - Noele Gordon

'The Anniversary Waltz' - Noele Gordon and John Bentley
'Goodbye' - Noele Gordon
'Crossroads Theme' - Tony Hatch

Wow, that's great. I was hoping someone would make a list. I hardly even had to hint.

I'd certainly buy that album.

Does anyone have a digital copy of the sheet music for Born With A Smile On My Face?!

I've got an original 70s copy of it somewhere, but can't find it and need it for an audition on Monday......

HELP?!?!?! Tongue x

Ooh yes Maria - it's similar to my 'Crossroads Records' thread! Although mine wasn't Crossroads Stars singing as such.

I quite liked some of Carl Wayne's songs actually. He was a popular guy in his day. Unfortunately the only memorable song I can remember now is the theme from 'New Faces' !

That's why I didn't merge the topics Daniel, because of the slight difference in your thread having themes as well  Smiley

Well my favourite is from the 70's - not in Crossroads - but on Noele Gordons Album. "There's a Small Hotel".  It had a poignant touch to it at the time. Gosh - I was only 15 years old when I bought that album......not long after buying the Crossroads Wedding Album! All my other friends were buying Showaddywaddy and Mud!!  (I did like Abba by then!) Cheesy

Carl is still occasionally seen on TV when they show clips of The Move.

On my hospital radio show, both Kate Robbins and Stephanie de Sykes have had airplay because they both got to No2 in the charts (that's one of my features - songs that just missed out on No1).  I can't play Benny's Theme because, sadly, it's rubbish.  Cheesy

And both songs were brilliant too! I agree about 'Benny's Theme'......it was better suited as incidental music - not a record release! I seem to remember Terry Wogan used to play half of it on his radio show....then say something like -"Ohh NOoo, we can't take any more misery!!" as a regular joke for a while  Grin
What about playing 'Summer of my Life"? That was a sad, but happy song at the same time.
