I suspect they must be as all of 1977 (Bar one I think which was found too late) has been out on Network.

Thats what I thought - but the seller claims they are a complete run of 25.... 1977 isn't a complete run is it? Certainly not 25 episodes long

If they have the Baines fire and subsiquent OB material that would be nice and any Vicky Lambert - as thats whats mainly missing. If it hasn't got any of those then it sounds just whats on DVD, maybe they don't realise its a gap. They should really list the episode numbers.

I've bought DVDs that are "otherwise unavailable" from ioffer sellers and have had no problems, but bear in mind there may be rogue sellers on there and the quality of homemade DVDs may be poor. However, this seller has been offering this set since last year without any complaints and two buyers have posted positive comments.

Also bear in mind that  the episodes may be chronological in the sense that they are in the correct order, but this isn't the same as a consecutive run.

The same seller also has Crossroads collections from 1978 (125 episodes) and 1979 (91 episodes).

Snugden I'm not registered at ioffer. is there any way you could have a private word with that member and see where the episodes are from?

How many episodes from 1977 would we get that we don't already have on the Network issues?

I've sent the seller a message asking for episode numbers or transmission dates and whether they duplicate the Network episodes. I'll post the reply here as soon as I receive it.

Well, I just looked at my box-set and counted 26 episodes from 1977 - so that's one more than them. The episodes start from when Rosemary fancies joining the Motel management, midway its the Diane-Max-Vera triangle, and latter episodes are Benny's grief about Maureen the gypsy girl.

The seller has sent me this reply:

"Not certain but I believe they are the same".

This suggests his DVDs are not copied straight from the Network set but the original source is the same. No point in buying them really.

If it contains the two 1500 recordings then they are copied from Network as ITV didn't have those, those were souced via us.
