Seems Jill was a bit of a slapper right from day one (something MK2 got right) The mysterious man in the 1965 photos, from information a keen fan has unearthed in 1965 storylines suggests that it is Hugh's other son, Johnathon Mortimer. She had both sons!

The other thing rummaged from this era is the fact episode one of Crossroads had a 63% audience share for ATV Midlands.

[This appears to suggest the son arrived first, then Hugh later]

I'll never forget that night at Crossroads, when you said 'all good things must come to an end'. And then you smiled. And I knew that you meant it.

This is quite funny Jill having had both sons.  I love it when new information becomes unearthed.

It's a wonder she didn't fancy her chances with Hugh behind Meg's back during a drunken moment, then she could have tried for the full set.  Maybe its a bit too far-fetched, or is it, knowing what we know about Jill ?

And that is excellent news about the 63% audience share for ATV, well beating the BBC of course.

I have to say we're 99% certain of this, but if anyone recalls what the actor John Wreford looks like that would help. He was also in Z Cars. Last worked in acting in 1978 if IMDB is right, though it doesn't list him in Crossroads, which I'm surpised about as he's on our cast list.

I'm sure if Hugh had tried it on she'd have slapped him, then enjoy it so let him continue.

The only thing I have him in is the second cushing dalek film - listed as "robber" on imdb

As i recall they don't appear very closely during bernard cribbins' assault - if that is the same person

Actualy just checked- slightly bigger hair but probably the same person.
What do you reckon?

Should just add that the best images of him are in profile - there are one or two face-on images but he's attacking Bernard Cribbins and gurning a bit!
