It comes from a guy she met on holiday in the USA, and eventually follows her back to Crossroads.  The holiday she was on when David/Barbara's wedding took place.  I can't remember his name unfortunately.

I recall reading a newspaper article at the time(1996)that UKGold were hoping to run Crossroads in it's entirety(or at least the complete colour run)as a rival to Granada Plus'Coronation Street-which had just started up-and were shocked at how much had been wiped.It was the first time I realised this also-although Jane Rossington's TIYL alerted me to the fact that the first ep.no longer existed.
