Rather than start a new thread,I thought I'd use this one to mention that Crossroads was referenced on French and Saunders Radio Two Show on Bank Holiday Monday. They were interviewing Celia Imrie, who's written her autobiography. She confirmed that she modelled her Acorn Antiques performance on Noele Gordon. Jennifer said that Acorn... still works even though we don't have anything like Crossroads on telly anymore!

Jodie Prenger sitting in for Paul O'Grady mentioned Lew Grade today.    The lost TV theme tune was ITC's `The Protectors'.

I thought that Paul's TV interview with GaGa was cringe-making. He seems to lose all his critical faculties when confronted with an international star.

I missed it for the same reason. She could have said she strangles kittens and he'd have smiled and said fabulous.

Plus I think Lady Gaga is overrated, hollow, derivitive and clingy. She's a pop emperor's new clothes.

Paul O'Grady has just mentioned Crossroads again.

He has played this week as his lost TV theme the New Faces tune and said it was filmed at ATV Centre where they did Crossroads.

Paul has just mentioned Vera Downend and Crossroads.  He's had a letter from somebody who lives on a barge.  Straight away he mentioned that Vera used to live on a barge in Crossroads.

Bit late oorshughie, only just seen this properly, sorry.  Happy New Year to you too.

Paul has just played the familiar ATV tune and mentioned Lew Grade.

I'll never forget that night at Crossroads, when you said 'all good things must come to an end'. And then you smiled. And I knew that you meant it.
