Yes, the 1500 episode 1971 magazine.  Julian and Margo are named just underneath the b/w photo.

I wonder if its also in one of the wedding books, I know there is one I looked for his name and couldn't find it.

Out of curiosity I had a look at Meg's wedding book and there is a full page b/w photo but has no actor names.  This is probably the book you looked in Mike.

I looked also in Jill's wedding book, no picture but there is a cast list at the back.  Tom Sinclair is listed but against actor name says "Mr Somers".

I finally looked at the CAS cast list just to see if anything was listed, again it said "Mr Somers".  This was most probably taken from Jill's book.  Sorry to be picky Mike, but I think the cast list should be updated  Smiley Kiss

Yes the central database of names was used in that book, although we've added about 50% more to that list since... which says a lot.

On the Manor House next door I see that Cynthia Cunningham is moving into it in episode 2014 so she must have married or is to marry the guy who owns it, Tom Sinclair, around this time.

There was a photo in one of the magazines of their wedding though, it may have been a good while before 1973, I was sure it was in the 1971 magazine. (And I don't think we know who the actor was)

Hope I'm not confusing the issue here, but the photo of Tom Sinclair marrying Gloria Penn is in the 1971 magazine.  Date of photo December 1970.  Tom played by Julian Somers and Gloria played by Margo Cunningham.  As for Tom ditching Gloria for Cynthia, sorry but I've no idea.
Thats the guy Julian Somers, the name my sister was saying she THOUGHT it was,and here was me doubting her every minute of the way.Yes it was Julian Somers who played Tom Sinclair,Hey Maria Good on yer Girl!! Kiss Kiss

I know Noele speaks of Sgt York, but doesn't name the actor. Yet in a lot of other times speaking of a character she adds played by "young XXX" or such.

I guess that this will remain a mystery unless we can get those 1967-69 copies of the TVTIMES.

Oh and yes the "Swimming Pool" was a real indoor pool, that was seen. He thinks around Feb/Mar for Miss Crossroads 1965

In the 1977 episodes it is mentioned that the weather will stop Miss Ross from going swiming - and they talk about having it drained - so by 1977 it was an outdoor pool

Maybe after the Bomb Meg liked it open plan lol. Or possibly the expansion, I'm sure discussed in 1973/4 by Brian Jarvis who was doing the renovations. And again in 1976 when that odd bar appeared.

With episodes missing hard to keep track of what they did change, but at least they wrote it into the storyline somewhat.

The chalet design seen at the Longshoot is certainly very reminiscent of the scenery in Crossroads. I don't know whether the second floor at the Longshoot was a later addition or whether a similar design was used in various motels - but something like the LS does seem to be the inspiration. As mentioned in another thread - this chalet design weas also used in the black and white days.

These are, we can confirm, the Chateau Impney grounds. The Impney extentions were added in 1970 (completed 1972). A new area to the back of the house was provided for bar storage and kitchens ect. (where Meg does her gardening ect) It actually has as well as the green function room seen in 1975 (still green and is very MK2 in the respect that the bar seen in 1974 actually also serves that function room - there is an archway between the two bar serving areas for staff to work both rooms) it also has a basement restaurant.

The 'Crossroads Motel' Alcove seen in colour VT and in film (notably when Kevin asks Meg for money to pay the motel Waiter) is actually at the side of the wooden stairs where Holly Brown sings. However the sofas have been replaced with tables and chairs. The circular seating Hugh, Meg, Timothy and Cynthia stand at has gone (Although an identical one is still in the circular window opposite of where it was). The bar stools are the same as are the green standing lamps.

There is also to the side a large extention, again from the 1970s, which is rather like Penns Hall and is extra hotel bedrooms.

But yes the view from the garden shows the road as pictured above in the distance and the hotel driveway fits.

The impney also have horses in the grounds and one sheep. I think the lamb on the menu might be very fresh...
