Lovely to see Tony Hatch in the audience at the World Darts on TV yesterday.  He's looking well, and the commentator Tony Green made some remark about Crossroads.  Come on Dave Chisnall, you can beat Wolfie!!

Jean, I was watching the darts too yesterday.  Yes, I saw Tony Hatch too.

Looks like we are on opposing sides here, I want Wolfie to win. I have been following him for a few years.  I watched him beat Martin Phillips last night, although a little dithery towards the end.  Doesn't mean to say he will though because although Dave is an unknown he could be a very good player.  A very interesting match tonight, I'm definitely watching.  May the best man win !

Bgr!  Missed the Hatchmeister!

Wasn't it a great final?!  Almost as exciting as the Wolfie/Nixon final a few years back!  Chizzy gave him a run for his money!

Aston, Yes, fab final.  I said yesterday that I wanted Wolfie to win, but it could have easily gone either way.  Dave Chizzy we will definitely be seeing around in the future, what a talented young player he is.  As for that Wolfie/Nixon final 3 years ago, I could hardly watch because it was so dramatic, was sticking up for Wolfie then, so dramatic and exciting.

All this talk of darts - such a vulgar pastime I've always thought. And so provincial.

Sorry, Valerie, darling.  Croquet's not as popular as it once was!

Aston, I expect people to jump through hoops - not whack their balls through them!

I'll never forget that night at Crossroads, when you said 'all good things must come to an end'. And then you smiled. And I knew that you meant it.

My brain actually went into overload with the ball-whacking and when it overloads I go quiet!   Smiley

Yes I was watching the darts Maria and was happy to see Tony there, and loved Tony Green's comment about 'being at the Crossroads'.  Obviously a fan.

Thought you'd be watching jean9  Smiley

Tony Green's comments are such classics.  He's a real National treasure, as is Tony Hatch for that matter.

I was so rooting to Tony O'Shea in that final.  I thought he was going to do the most amazing come-back to win.  So near yet so far.

Yes I wanted Tony O'Shea to win too.  He's been a beaten finalist so often it would have been nice to see him win.  Mind you Kist played very well.  What did you think about Ted Hankey's match with Kist and the air-conditioning?  I think handled the situation badly, up till then he had a good chance of winning.  Quite glad he lost though, he's nice when he in interviewed but I don't like his stage persona much.
