Hi all, Network now have this listed on their website along with the cover and details of the episodes that will be included. I'll never forget that night at Crossroads, when you said 'all good things must come to an end'. And then you smiled. And I knew that you meant it.

"19" episodes over 2 discs is good I think.
There should be another omnibus on the next DVD unseen so thats hopefully another 19 episodes - although I guess that one will be more expensive.

I've just ordered my copy! Yay to the power N! 19 episodes on Archive - Vol. 5 incl. another Omnibus sounds like very good value for money to me. The only down side is the loss of the animated menu's from Volumes 1-4 and the Extra's

I suppose when they reach 1980 they technically should change the logo, however I suppose they're using the one most people know. Shame there wasn't enough B&W 60s versions for Volume 1 - would have been interesting to see if they'd use that 60s logo for the cover.

I'd forgotten about the 60's logo  still, the episode on Archive Volume. 4 where she's drunk and plays the violin had me rolling on the floor in hysterics. Such a wonderful scene! I dunno about anybody else, but for me, the best way to watch/enjoy these Archive releases is to turn my Mobile off, close the curtains, open a bottle of Hardy's Stamp (very nice red wine for those who have no idea what I'm on about!) and then sit back and watch every epiosde in 1 sitting! Pure bliss

I think Amy and Edith drunk certainly should have been a regular thing, it was so funny, especially when Amy was 'insulted' the offended reaction I just couldn't help but laugh.
I notice from the sleeve the next Volume seems to have the episode where Shughie does his 'kitchen inspection' - checking the pretty girls, until he gets to Mrs Witton and passes her by! Funny.
And Amy's baffled behind reception scene as used on Pebble Mill.

Yeah Jo Richardson's death was rather sad. I don't know if they're still on the forum but someone here had a letter from her, which arrived after her death., but had wrote it before going on that fateful holiday. I think they also got a letter from Jack Barton, who was unaware she'd already replied before her accident.
Well there are certainly a few more episodes with Rita in them, which is nice.

Just ordered my usual two copies from Network DVD, always one in reserve just incase! Mine were £10.20 each, maybe that's less the VAT? It's getting into my era now which is very exciting, although it was brilliant to see the pre-1974 episodes. Great to see that there are a couple of episodes featuring the Lia Hua/David Hunter/John Farnham storyline which of course featured in the 1976 compilation episodes. Nice to fill in with more detail.
I presume Vol. 4 will be out around the end of April as per the other dvd's.

yes doesn't seem to be a date for release, the Jan one came out quite early on though didn't it - around the 15th or so.
I suppose its wise to have a back up, I might put them all onto VHS 'just in case' the DVD breaks.

Thats very true too, I hear they're selling rather well for Archive DVD releases, so thats very good.
I still bang my drum that they'd have sold even better if Woolworths and WHSmith hadn't been so snobby and stocked them in store.
