Here's a heads-up, folks!

Alan Coleman's autobiography, One Door Shuts, is available this month.  The book tells of his time in the Royal Air Force, how he broke in to ATV and his work on Crossroads, Kids From 47A and The Jensen Code.  He also tells about his work for Grundy, having been head-hunted to move to Australia to set up the drama department for Grundy's.  He also talks about how his work has brought him around the world.

Mike, please could you keep an eye out for a UK release?  I know not everyone would want to order from Australia.

I must say it looks a rather substantial book - 650+ pages!  It's also a bit weighty in terms of price - the $38 price-tag works out at about £20.  It does look like an interesting read, though.

I'll keep a look out. I'll update the CAS front with it when I get my image program sorted, the new CAS PC is most fast, but lacking its bits.

So, its Australia is it !!  Wasn't sure if it was American.  I haven't yet ordered it, I rang the UK office, but there is a problem in ordering at the moment on the website anyway.  Trafford Books have been taken over by Authorsonline and there are glitches.  I was told to telephone Waterstones or Borders.

I rang Waterstones, they will not be stocking it.  And of course Borders has gone into Administration and book sales have been suspended.

Its times like this CAS should have a shop, but I don't think the site would cope with much more action Tongue

It is, yeah.  I believe Alan Coleman's still based out there, so he's used an Australian publisher, instead of a bigger international one.

Keep looking and don't give up.  I'm sure those glitches will work themselves out.

Nor would the hard-working peeps compiling it too, I bet!!   Tongue

I must say looking at the CAS Office pictures, I don't think your little office could cope with a shop either.  You would have to expand.

I'm going to keep a lookout on Amazon for Alan's book, they are bound to have it sometime.

I had a look on Amazon earlier, but it's not there.  I'll try again in January.
