I've just been watching Disc 3 from the 45th Anniversary boxset and I'm really enjoying the footage from Coventry during Sandy's hospital stay in the city.

Coming from Coventry makes it even more special for me - watching Meg at the Coventry Boy statue, having seen it many times myself, makes it even more 'real'.

One of the previous episodes had Amy using the popular saying, "sent to Coventry", as well.  Cool

I love that scene where Meg feels she HAS to go and pray after talking to Timothy. She walks down to the front of the Cathedral, and this haunting music plays to end the episode. Very moving.

Roll on Christmas Day - and I can watch the whole bloody lot!! (HOW many episodes??!)

I agree the whole Coventry Cathedral episode is very moving, from Meg walking around the bombed out ruins, to re-discovering her faith and walking up to the altar (which seems to take forever with the church music, which is no bad thing) to finally pray.

The Coventry Boy episode is very well done too, as are all of Sandy's episodes in hospital.

I agree, excellent acting all round, especially Meg crying when Sandy wakes up from his coma.

I just love Archive 2 for two reasons, the `Coventry' episodes and the fact that Hugh Mortimer features on some episodes.

The Coventry episodes are terribly moving, I agree.  When Meg goes to the new Cathedral and sits in the chapel with that music playing over the credits, I've had a lump in my throat on more than one occasion, I must admit.

Last time I was in Coventry, though, I couldn't find the "Coventry Boy".  Perhaps I just wasn't looking in the right place.

I've not paid attention when passing the Cathedral, but as far as I remember the Coventry Boy is opposite (there are some big balls and a water feature there now). I think it is still in front of Cov Uni in amongst the trees.

I'll have another look next time I'm around that way.
