A nice trip down memory lane there!  I think it's probably true about Rosemary being one of the first Soap-bitches! I can't think of anyone before her time Smiley

Nicely spotted re Rosemary! Valerie wrote 'many' poison pen letters to her daughter - as far as I know (and I was in the office drinks cabinet at the time!) - she wrote one - that we know of! pity we never did see what she had written.

RIP Terence Rigby, Tommy "Bomber" Lancaster.

A very good piece Douggie. Glad some of the latter characters were mentioned in the final paragraph (although, I would've liked to have seen a mention of a certain "Bomber" Lancaster, ah well, at least Mrs Freeman gets a mention, which I was pleased about. Mickey Doyle was a nice surprise too! but I agree)  Smiley

Good article surprised no mention of Sandy or Benny.
Wasn't Amy in her brief return Tommy Lancaster's mother -in -law rather than,as the article says, the Lancaster's housekeeper?

I've never heard this before. No, as far as I'm aware, she was always Tommy's housekeeper at Lady Byron Lodge. There's no family connection at all as far as I know. Amy talks about Mr Lancaster paying her and in a February episodes says:

"A little extra pocket money always comes in handy" or something like that  Smiley
