Forgot, her Humbler features in a few reels of footage, but also some early 1964 photos, so she must have been one of the first TV characters to buy a Mini? (Because they were not really 'cool' until the mid-60s really if you believe the hype?)

Glad that I eventually got Question 4, because I didn't know of any other songs Meg sang.

What was the first make of car Meg Richardson drove?
Humbler HawlkII, followed by a Mini. And if anyone knows the one before the Roller... because I don't! I'm sure she says what it was in a book.

In Nolly's book My Life at Crossroads she talks about her Rolls Royce she bought 1973.  She says that Jack Barton will be having her drive it in Crossroads with the number plate NG10 which she has transferred from car to car over the years.  Whenever Meg drives, she uses the car that she has in real life.

"This needed no explanation when I had a Ford or a Triumph but now that it's a Rolls the scriptwriters will have to explain Meg's sudden acquisition".

I know nothing about cars really, is that any help, Ford or Triumph ?

John Drake drove one in Danger Man (1964-6) and Adam Adamant drove one as well (1966-7).

Didn't know about either of the Tony Hatch numbers being sung by Meg.Where does the info come from?
Also, any ideas as to why she was singing on either or both occasions?

DJB, I'm sorry but I can't exactly pinpoint where I got the info from that Meg sang "Don't Sleep In the Subway" and "Downtown".  I have been looking through some books I have, but the info isn't there.  I've obviously heard it/read it somewhere.  I knew "Don't Sleep In The Subway" was sung when Meg found out Malcolm Ryder was trying to poison her, as Mike has confirmed but thought it might have been sung again.  I don't know in what context "Downtown" was sung, sorry.  To be honest I have that much Crossroads trivia swimming around my head, due to me hearing/reading that much stuff.
Thanks,Maria.Seems a rather strange reaction to discovering that one is being poisoned, but hey isn't that we love about Crossroads!

I must try and find the information. I'm not sure its 'after' she knows what he's doing. I think its if I remember before the posioning is revealed. Possibly with his business going tits up and the money problems he'd 'left the cottage' and knowing Crossroads she'd sing it at him before he returns to finish her off. It must be pretty near to the one episode that does survive.

It would be absolutely brilliant Mike, if you could get full details of how/why Meg sang "Don't Sleep In The Subway", but the info you have given is fantastic.  Because I only knew it was related to the `poisoning' storyline but didn't know in what context.

The two episodes we have on the archives is one b/w one, where the Housekeeper Mrs Grey gets Meg roughly and pushes her head between her legs when she is feeling dizzy, and the colour one when we see Meg in bed taking her green medicine/poison.

Great quiz - I never realised til I just looked it up that "We'll Find Our Day" wasn't written for Meg and Hugh's wedding, but came from the musical Smike. Guess you learn something every day.

Never noticed before how much meaning (meanings) there is in the title 'We'll Find Our Day'.
